She studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague in 1973-1979 in the atelier of prof. Karla Součka and prof. Oplt.

1978 and 1979 scholarship of Italy and Spain.

Alena Petříčková has many exhibitions in the Czech Republic and abroad. Prague, Vienna, Frankfurt, Kötzting, Germany, annual participation in a joint exhibition of Bavarian artists, Brazil - Lidice, Paris Gallery, New York Gallery, Bohemian National Hall New York USA and many others.

Alena Petříčková is the chairwoman of the New Association of Prague artists. It is recorded in many publications, including Who is Who.

Alena Petříčková is one of the leading Czech painters and is therefore represented in private collections and public galleries in more than 15 countries around the world.
