Vojtěch Kolařík

Biography
The leading painter Vojtěch Kolařík was born in 1938 in Hvozdná u Zlína. After graduating from grammar school in Třebíč, he was admitted to the AMU in Prague in 1956 and joined the studio of Professor Smutny, drawing and painting, and later moved to the studio of Professor Tröster. He graduated in 1961.
In 1963 he was accepted as an artist at Czechoslovak Television Prague. He worked there until 1992.
He made scenic designs for the television, and he also dealt with costume designs, such as K.M.Walló-Smutná princess, J.K.Tyl - Strakonický dudák and others.

In addition to solo exhibitions, he also exhibited at collective exhibitions, in particular he was successful at an exhibition in Montreal at EXPO '67; Exhibitions in Munich, Bologna. He is represented in collections in the Czech Republic, USA, Great Britain, Germany, Austria, France, Belgium and Norway. He is a member of the Association of Prague Fine Artists.
